The New Driver CPC Training is for professional drivers in the United Kingdom. CPC Training is a legal requirement that requires all professional drivers to participate in thirty-five hours of training every five years. Only the initial CPC Training course requires exam certification. The initial course is divided into five modules consisting of certification exams. The aim of the Driver CPC Training requirement is to improve safety on the road through better-qualified drivers and decreasing the amount of traffic casualties. Additionally, drivers who have completed their CPC Training courses are required by law to carry proof of completion and Driver CPC status at anytime when driving in a professional manner. It is unlawful to drive professionally without the required documentation, if you are a LGV driver.
